Want to see one of the most beautiful lagoons in the Cordillera Blanca, but don't have the time or condition for long hikes? In the heart of the Cordillera Blanca, Laguna Parón spreads out like an immense turquoise mirror. Its calm waters precisely reflect the imposing Artesonraju peak. The silence is broken only by the whisper of the wind and the flight of Andean ducks.
It's one of the few lakes accessible by car. Hotel Morales offers you an exclusive one-day tour to Laguna Parón, departing directly from the hotel. First, we'll drive 67 km to the small town of Caraz, and then, from Caraz, another 32 km on a rough dirt road to the lake (approximately 3 hours of travel each way). The route crosses a spectacular canyon with 1,000 m granite walls. Once at the lake, you'll be able to walk a trail that runs along its shore.
